Dash — Informal Horse of the Week

Oh, Dash, beautiful Dash.  He’s our big, red, long-legged love bug. 21 this year, and going strong.

Dash is a big boy with a big motor…and an even bigger heart. A 16-hand sorrel, Dash is an own grandson of the famous barrel racing sire Dash For Cash, and true to his heritage, Dash-A-Splash (his big fancy registered name) was a barrel racing horse for his first 14 years. He raced hundreds of times and won loads of buckles and saddles and money on the rodeo circuit – even winning the state championship 4D Barrel horse in 2012!  He is a true rodeo king!

Nowadays, Dash enjoys the easy life of a seasoned trail horse here on Red Mountain. Always loved and well cared for in his racing career, he’s enjoying the same now – just at a slower speed! With his coppery coat and flaxen mane and tail, Dash always stands out as one of our most handsome gentlemen.

Dash is wonderful with kids and adults and is especially careful with beginner riders.
